We’re based on a small 300-acre arable farm, situated in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. Before starting the Lodge in 2003 we did things a little differently to what we do now.
In the 1940s Mr Dennis-Jones took over the farm (with it now in its 4th generation). Like many other farms in the county back then, he had a range of animals; from chickens, pigs, geese and cows. Also, wheat, rape, barley and maize, were grown to help feed the animals and also sold on to buyers.
As time went on, things slowly changed with us just having dairy cows and 7000 chickens for eggs, as well as still producing crops.
In 2003 we decided to get rid of the animals and diversify into Bed & Breakfast (as well as keeping the arable part going). Since then we have gone from 14 rooms to 23; with a range of different room types.
We look forward to seeing what the future brings!
